BIBLE STUDY

There is no Wednesday Bible Study until further notice.

The Bible Study on Thursday will meet at 7.30pm, at 5 Chambers Place.

We will not have our own evening service next Sunday, 5th December. We will join the Hope Park congregation at 6.30pm as they host the University Madrigal Group.

The Leadership Team will meet at the manse on Wednesday, 8th December, at 7.30pm.

General Assembly:

For your information, here are two extracts from the recent decision of the Assembly of the Free Church on the question of praise in church worship:

'The General Assembly ordain that every service of congregational worship shall include the singing of Psalms.'

'The General Assembly ordain that, with regard to the sung praise of congregations in worship, each Kirk Session shall have freedom, either to restrict the sung praise to the Psalms, or to include paraphrases of Scripture, and hymns and spiritual songs consistent with the doctrine of the Confession of Faith; that each Kirk Session shall have freedom whether to permit musical accompaniment to the sung praise in worship, or not.'
